George Mulry
 | George Mulry is President and Co-Director of Pioneer Valley Juniors. In five seasons as head coach of Longmeadow High School, Coach Mulry has led the Lancers to five League and Sectional championships ('07, '08, '09, '10, '11). The 2007 championships were the first in program history and included an undefeated 16-0 league record. Mulry’s record at Longmeadow is 96-14 overall and 52-2 in league matches.
Mulry's 2010 PV Juniors 17 Open team found much success winning the 18 Open New England Regional Championship. A pretty big feat for a 17's team...especially since a few players were eligible for 15's & 16's!! They were also Gold Medal winners at the Great Nor'easter Tournament, Apex 17/18 Open Tournament, and two NERVA 18 Open Tournaments.
George previously coached the Holyoke High School boy’s junior varsity volleyball |
team guiding them to a record of 52-24 and the girl’s junior varsity volleyball team leading them to a record of 67-7 including a 17-0 record for the 2006 season.
| George, also, coached for the WMass Junior Olympic Volleyball Club and his 2009 Open Level team finished 5th in New England (including 1 gold and 2 silver medals). Mulry also led his teams to a 5th place finish out of 99 teams (including 3 silver medals) in 2007 as well as a 7th place finish out of 86 teams (including 1 silver medal) in 2006.
As a player, Coach Mulry played two years of high school volleyball at Holyoke helping the team to a quarter- and semi-final finish in the Western Mass Playoffs as defensive specialist and outside hitter. In college, George was also the starting defensive specialist
& outside hitter for the UMass club volleyball team. Coach Mulry graduated from UMass in 2003 with a Bachelors | |
degree in Sport Management and is currently the Executive Director at the Volleyball Hall of Fame.
