Alyssa Stankowski
 | Alyssa Stankowski is currently in her first year at Westfield State College where she is studying Psychology and playing volleyball. She recently finished her first volleyball season at Westfield where her team won the MASCAC Conference Championship and competed in the NCAA tournament. She was also named the 2009 MASCAC Rookie of the Year.
Alyssa graduated from Frontier Regional High School in South Deerfield, MA. She played volleyball for six years at Frontier under the direction of Sean MacDonald. In her five years on the varsity team, she was a three time captain, a winner of five League Championships, four Western Massachusetts Championships, and two State Champion-

ships. She was on the Massachusetts All-State team her sophomore, junior and senior years. Her five year varsity record at Frontier stands at 112-8. Alyssa set an area record, surpassing Pioneer Valley basketball star Adam Harrington, for the most career wins in a single varsity sport.
She played for the Western Mass. Junior Olympic Program in 2008, and the team finished their season as the number two team in New England. Alyssa has also played in the Bay State Games for the past four years. She played in the scholastic division for three years, winning two gold medals and a silver medal. Over this past summer she was on the women’s open team where her team won a gold medal.
A relative newcomer to the coaching side of the game, Alyssa is eager to share her knowledge of the sport and her experience with her players.
